The students from ARC 4620 Interior Design course at the Faculty of Design and Architecture, #UPM Universiti Putra Malaysia went on a field visit to the Elmina Township under construction by Sime Darby Property Berhad on 28 September 2018. The class is very grateful to Dato’ Wan Hashimi Aljaffri, Chief Operating Officer for Township Developmemt for agreeing to host the group. There was a total of 41 students, 1 PHD student and 2 instructors. The field trip had an assignment to assess the usability, accessibility and environmental qualities to the new affordable quality housing prototypes for Rumah Selangor Ku. Visit was a follow up action after an earlier visit by Prof. Rahinah with the delegation of Selangor Housing Exco, YB Haniza Talha. The group was hosted by Mr Edward and En Shakir. Food was real good..yummy. Lead course instructor is Dr Noranita Mansor.
